  • Thiruparankundram: The journey begins with Thiruparankundram, the first abode, situated near Madurai. It is believed that Lord Muruga married Goddess Deivanai here, symbolizing the union of the divine forces.
  • Tiruchendur: The second abode, Tiruchendur, located along the shores of the Bay of Bengal, is known as the place where Lord Muruga defeated the demon Surapadman, representing the triumph of good over evil.
  • Palani: Palani, the third abode, is nestled amidst the scenic Western Ghats. It is famous for the sacred Palani Hill, where devotees climb barefoot to seek blessings and fulfill their vows.
  • Swamimalai: Swamimalai, the fourth abode, is where Lord Muruga assumed the role of a Guru to impart spiritual knowledge to his father, Lord Shiva. The temple is known for its unique architecture and spiritual significance.
  • Thiruthani: The fifth abode, Thiruthani, is perched on a hilltop, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. It is believed to be the place where Lord Muruga married Valli, a celestial maiden.
